Membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. is a commitment to leadership, service, scholarship, and brotherhood. Becoming a member requires an investment of your time, talents, and financial resources, as well as a genuine dedication to making a positive impact in your community.

 

The Beta Theta Lambda Chapter seeks men who demonstrate strong character, a commitment to academic and professional excellence, and a passion for serving others. We are looking for individuals who are prepared to uphold the values, traditions, and reputation of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. through their words, actions, and leadership.

 

Our chapter is not seeking candidates who lack a commitment to community service, personal growth, or excellence. We seek men who will help move the organization forward, leaders who will contribute to our mission and strengthen our legacy.

Membership Requirements:

  •  Any male holder of an earned baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university may be presented as a candidate for membership in an alumni chapter provided that he:
  •  Has been minimally conferred a 4-year baccalaureate degree from an accredited institution (includes accredited online university)
  •  Is of good character
  •  Is registered to vote, if eligible and qualified
  •  Is sponsored by a member in good standing from the chapter in which the candidate is seeking membership
  •  Is recommended by a member in good standing from the chapter in which the candidate is seeking membership
